Albert F. Rush Obituary

MILLINOCKET - Albert F. Rush, 86, died Monday at a local hospital following a brief illness. He was born Dec. 29, 1880, in Benedicta, the son of Frank and Margaret (Donovan) Rush. Rush lived here for 40 years; owned and operated the Rush Dairy here from 1931 to 1947; was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church; a charter member and FirstGrand Knight of St. Benedict's Council, Knights of Columbus, Benedicta; a member of St. Martin of Tours Council, Fourth Degree Assembly; a former member of the Millinocket Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include one son, Gerard T. Rush of here; one grandson, David T. Rush, of Hartford, Conn.; three brothers, Harry and Ralph of Benedicta, Halbert of Sherman Station; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Lawis of Sherman Mills; several nieces and nephews. A Solemn High Mass of Requim will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. The K. of C. will recite the Rosary Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the residence. Burial will be in the family lot of the St. Benedict's Cemetery, Benedicta, next spring. Friends may call at the residence any time after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Kelleher Funeral Home, Millinocket.
