EUGENE RUSH
MILLINOCKET - Eugene Rush, 86, died at his home here Friday evening. Rush was born in Benedicta, Aug. 21, 1881, the youngest son of John and Catherine (Crabbe) Rush. Rush lived here for 69 years and was the owner of the Eugene Rush Dry Goods Store on Penobscot Avenue for 56 years, retiring 10 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude (Bishop) Rush of Millinocket; one son, James Paul of Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Montgomery of Millinocket and Sister Rose Mary, R.S.M., of Portland; nine grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence, 91 Pine Street here, Saturday from 4-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-9 p.m. A High Mass of Requiem will be sung at St. Martin of Tours Church Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Kelleher Funeral Home, Millinocket.
