Frederick W. Rush Obituary

MILLINOCKET - Frederick W. Rush, 80, died Aug. 20, 1990, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Millinocket, Nov. 27, 1909, the son of Frank and Agnes (Boynton) Rush. He was formerly employed as a police officer for the town of Millinocket, and was later employed at Great Northern Paper Co., Millinocket, until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of the Millinocket Lodge of Elks No. 1521 and a life-member of St. Martin of Tours Council No. 680, Knights of Columbus. He is survived by two sons, Donald of Milford, Conn., and Michael of Millinocket; two brothers, Richard and Bernard Rush, both of Millinocket; two sisters, Agnes Bishop and Irene Miller, also of Millinocket; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Civiello) Rush, in 1985. Friends may call at the James G. Dowd Funeral Home, Millinocket 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wedensday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Little Flower Circle, Daughters of Isabella, will say the rosary 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Council No. 680, Knights of Columbus, will hold a prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
