John D. Rush born Nov. 27, 1801 Stelle, Germany and died April 1874 in T2R6.

He married Sarah Theresa Schmidt. She was born 1812 in Alcase, France and died 09-25-1856 in T2R6.They married in 1833 in Patterson, NJ.

BANGOR and SHERMAN STATION - Annette Huntley, 59, died Nov. 10, 1990 at Bangor. She was born July 19, 1931, in Sherman, the daughter of Harry and Kathleen (Mahon) Rush. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Paddleford of New Hampshire, Carolyn Miller, U.S. Navy, Japan, and Joanne Huntley of Bangor; two sons, Jerry of Benedicta and Keith of Minnesota; five grandchildren, Erik and Kyle Paddleford, Sarah and Denise Miller and Lance Huntley. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Benedicta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

BENEDICTA - William George Rush, 19, died suddenly Saturday, from a woods accident. He was born at Houlton August 18, 1946, son of George and Mary (Seile) Rush. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Rayfield and Mathew, three sisters, Deborah, Maureen, and Betty, all of here; a half-sister, Mrs. Shirley Rogan of Millinocket; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Sophromie Rush of Sherman; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Seile of Parkman; several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict's Church, here, the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment will be in St. Benedict's Cemetery.

MILLINOCKET Frank E. Rush, 58, died at his home here Tuesday evening after a long illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1907, at Millinocket, the son of Frank W. and Agnes (Boynton) Rush. Graduating from St. Mary's High School, he attended St. Mary's College at Van Buren. Survivors include one son, Frank W. Rush of Millinocket; three brothers, Frederick M., Richard J. and Bernard J., all of Millinocket; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Miller of East Millinocket; Mrs. Lillian A. Hayes, Mrs. Agnes M. Bishop, both of Millinocket, both of Millinocket and Anna Sheehan, of Bangor; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Requiem will be sung Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. Burial will be in the family lot at the Millinocket Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hayes Residence, 130 Knox Street, Millinocket. On Thursday at the residence, the Daughters of Isabella will recite the Rosary at 7 p.m., followed by the Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m. Arrangements by the Kelleher Funeral Home, Millinocket.

Millinocket - Bernard J. Rush, 74, died July 8, 1993, at a Millinocket hospital. He was born in Millinocket, May 9, 1919, the son of Frank W. and Agnes (Boynton) Rush. He was employed by the Frank W. Rush & Sons Lumber Co. and then became employed by the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a life member of the Francis E. Elliott Post VFW. He was also a member of the Millinocket Lodge of Elks No. 1521. He is survived by his wife, Louise Rush of Millinocket; two sons, Gary and John Rush, both of Millinocket; two stepdaughters, Gail Lyons of Millinocket and Lois Gauvin of Eastport; two sisters, Agnes Bishop and Irene Miller; one brother, Richard Rush, all of Millinocket; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the James G. Dowd Funeral Home, Millinocket, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Patrick Seymour officiating. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.

Brennan, Lawler, Robinson, Duffy, Rogan, Perry, McDonald, Cummings, McAvoy, McNally, Qualey, Casey, Gantnier Families. I need information from all those families with ties to Benedicta, ME. All those surnames tie back into John D. Rush and Sarah Smith. If you don't know all of your family information that is ok.
